Bad news in my family.

My oldest son was in a car accident yesterday morning. He is fine but in terrible shape, from what the Drs. say he broke his arm, leg, neck, back, collarbone, 3 ribs and has a punctured lung. He was on his way to work at his new job(since his other job went out of business)and he swerved to keep from hitting a deer and hit a tree then flipped his car. He was stuck for about an hour before anyone noticed because we live in a small town and it was early morning about 5:15 a.m. and supposedly where the car ended up it couldn't be seen from the road. The person that finally found him did so only because my son was flicking a lighter out the window hoping someone would see it. The man was kind enough to go down to the next place he could turn and go back to see what the flickering was. He was taken to our local hospital and then taken to Barnes Hospital in Saint Louis, where we received more bad news. The hospital says that because he has no insurance they are going to fix everything and then send him home as soon as possible. They were going to send him home tonight but then found out about the broken back and punctured lung and decided to keep him overnight. I do not know what we are going to do because now he will probably lose this job as it was only his 4th day and he has a wife and 2 children. I just cannot believe that because he has no insurance they are going to send him home without so much as a care about what will happen or how he will get medical care after. What happened to the Drs. who really care about people and not just money? I am so aggravated with the system today and so worried about how they will live until he is better. I am living on disability so cannot offer much support in the form of money and feel so bad that I am poor and feel like a terrible mother because I can't help.
He is already worried about the bills as now he has the ambulance bill and now 2 hospital bills that will be coming in. Sorry, about rambling I am just so upset and don't know what to do.

Patricia hun my thoughts and prayers are with your son and your entire family. I hope his recovery is quick. It's going to be a long haul for him but thank God he is alive and will recover.
