Update

I am so sorry that I haven't been posting anything. It seems at this time I am very busy. I do still have a couple of kits in the works but I am now in college and find my time limited. I just finished my first course and am in the first week of the second. I am going to try to get a new kit out this weekend.

Just wanted to give an update

Well, how is everyone. I have a new grandson and his name is Boston Robert Lawson and he was born on Jan. 25 (which is also my oldest son's birthday). I will post some pics of him soon. I am also working on 2 kits but have kind of lost any mojo I may have had for now. I would also like to say Happy Birthday to 2 of my beautiful daughters, Donna and Lorelei( who were born on the same day 12 years apart) Love Ya. Hopefully I will be back within the next few days with one of the kits.

Update on my son

My son is home now from the hospital. He is in a wheel chair right now and they say he maybe for over a year but he is alive and that is all that matters to us. They are going to have a rough time as he was the bread winner for the family but with family and friends helping I am sure everything will work out. Here are 3 pictures of him, his wife and the kids before the accident. The one with him and his wife, you can tell he had just woke up. I love you son.

FTU Hailey's Halloween Kit and News on my son

First of all I just finished a new kit for Halloween. It isn't the greatest but I am learning I hope. Now as some of you may know my son was in an accident back on Sept. 10th and he is still in the hospital. He has had 3 operations and a blood transfusion and he is doing much better now so much so that he maybe coming home in the next day or two. He is going to have a long road to recovery and with no way to work right now I don't know what is going to happen. He has always been the one who worked to support his wife and 2 girls. I am trying to get him some kind of financial aide but so far no luck, so I would like to ask if you could please wish him luck and pray for a fast recovery and thank you.

Latest News On My Son

Just wanted to update anyone that may be interested. My son has had his leg fixed but they are waiting several days to start repair on the other parts of his body. The hospital is going to keep him which we are all so relieved to know. They say he maybe there for 5 to 6 months which is great because he will get the care he needs. I am updating this from my home since we got back home. My oldest daughter is going up tomorrow to stay with him along with my mother. My sister and his wife are there now. My sister has been there since the accident on Friday. I plan on going back up in a couple of days and staying for a few days. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for blood work as they think I have Diabetes. well that is about all for now. I want to thank Anna for her prayers and well wishes and yes we are lucky that he survived and my son said that he feels God was with him during the time he laid there and helped him to carry on. Thank you for reading and will up date when I can.

Bad news in my family.

My oldest son was in a car accident yesterday morning. He is fine but in terrible shape, from what the Drs. say he broke his arm, leg, neck, back, collarbone, 3 ribs and has a punctured lung. He was on his way to work at his new job(since his other job went out of business)and he swerved to keep from hitting a deer and hit a tree then flipped his car. He was stuck for about an hour before anyone noticed because we live in a small town and it was early morning about 5:15 a.m. and supposedly where the car ended up it couldn't be seen from the road. The person that finally found him did so only because my son was flicking a lighter out the window hoping someone would see it. The man was kind enough to go down to the next place he could turn and go back to see what the flickering was. He was taken to our local hospital and then taken to Barnes Hospital in Saint Louis, where we received more bad news. The hospital says that because he has no insurance they are going to fix everything and then send him home as soon as possible. They were going to send him home tonight but then found out about the broken back and punctured lung and decided to keep him overnight. I do not know what we are going to do because now he will probably lose this job as it was only his 4th day and he has a wife and 2 children. I just cannot believe that because he has no insurance they are going to send him home without so much as a care about what will happen or how he will get medical care after. What happened to the Drs. who really care about people and not just money? I am so aggravated with the system today and so worried about how they will live until he is better. I am living on disability so cannot offer much support in the form of money and feel so bad that I am poor and feel like a terrible mother because I can't help.
He is already worried about the bills as now he has the ambulance bill and now 2 hospital bills that will be coming in. Sorry, about rambling I am just so upset and don't know what to do.

Some news and sorry so long getting back to this blog

Well, just found out that I am going to be Grandma again(first they said Feb. now Jan. so not sure). That makes 10 grandbabies including one angel in heaven. Second I am in the process of making a new kit and I am hoping I have learned a few things since my last attempt. I joined an awesome forum that has been teaching me and the people there are absolutely awesome. As soon as I get to ask them if it is okay to post their name here I will. That's about all for now but check back in about a week for my new kit.

I just don't understand

First let me say that I am going to try and get a few things done and uploaded to this blog within the next couple of days.
Now let me tell you I have been busy Blog Hopping for 4 awesome trains (Taggers Christmas, Winter Wonderland, ADSD Holidays At Home, and Christmas Convoy) and what I don't understand is how some people can download these awesome gifts that are offered to us so freely and not even leave a thank you. Time after time I downloaded these gifts and would see maybe 50 thank yous to over hundreds of downloads. I even left messages on 4shared with the little problem of having to log in and then sometimes I would have to log in everytime I went to download something. I will say that I myself do realize that I missed leaving a thank you for a couple of people because I would lose internet but I am right now trying to go back so I can say those 2 little words thank you. After seeing how inconsiderate some people are I can understand why alot of scrappers are going PTU.
Thats my rant for today and I hope to have something up here for anyone interested soon.

Made a blinkie

Well I made a blinkie tonight and I really like it except when I posted it on the blog, the right side is slightly cut off. I am going to leave it for now and try to figure out what I did wrong. Later tonight or tomorrow I plan on posting the first and only scrap I have done. It isn't the best but I guess for a first it is okay. I do plan on getting betterso I hope you will bear with me in my learning process. I must warn you that I still haven't figured out my sizing so some of the pieces may be larger that others, but I am learning and am sure I will get better with time ( just like as they say a fine wine). LOL
